Born and raised in Artesia, New Mexico, Mary Beth now lives in Farmington, New Mexico, where she works from her home studio to create both her fine art and teach workshops. Before arriving back to her home state in 2008, Mary Beth lived in Kansas City, Missouri, and served on the faculty and staff of the Kansas City Art Institute, where she received her B.F.A. in Fiber Arts.  From 1995-1997, Mary Beth taught English for the US Peace Corps in the Republic of Latvia after receiving her M. A. in Teaching from Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas.
